Text-to-STL questions

What is a Text-to-STL generator?

It converts entered text into a three-dimensional mesh that can be downloaded as an STL for slicing and 3D printing.

Which languages are supported?

The selector lists every currently enabled language preset and offers fonts suited to the selected writing system.

What is the difference between STL and SVG?

STL contains a three-dimensional mesh for printing, while SVG contains portable two-dimensional outlines for editing, cutting, or other design workflows.

Can I use text copied from Google Translate?

Yes. Paste valid Unicode text, select the matching language, and verify spelling and letter shaping in the preview before downloading.

Why does a font look different in the preview?

Each font defines different letterforms, spacing, weight, and character coverage, so compare available fonts and inspect every character.

Does the model print flat?

The STL is exported in the tool's established flat orientation, but you should still confirm placement and scale in your slicer.

Can I use the files for signs and nameplates?

Yes. STL and SVG downloads can be used as starting points for signs, labels, nameplates, classroom projects, gifts, and similar designs.
